IR gold is a product of advanced chemistry combined with state of the art microprocessor controls. By controlling the grain structure as well as the particular valence of gold that is being applied to the surface, a highly reflective barrier is generated at the thermal concentration site. By having only the energy reflective atoms of gold being deposited at the thermal site, a surface modification is achieved that allows the classical infrared reflectance curve to be met. A thermograph will show that this allows the substrate that is coated to operate at lower temperatures due to less thermal absorption, thus allowing the capturing of the economic advantages of shorter processing times in addition to realizing the gain of less energy expeditures. | |
